Make the publish to web feature available to be used for private sites so that confidential information can also be shown.
And please make the authentication method as flexible as possible

Today I’m very excited to announce the availability of the Power BI report web part for SharePoint Online! We’ve heard from you that you wanted an easy way to securely share Power BI reports in internal sites, enforce security permission, including data security. We’ve been busy at work with the SharePoint team building an out-of-the-box web part for SharePoint Online using their new Modern Pages infrastructure. The new web part we are releasing today enables SharePoint authors to embed Power BI reports directly in SharePoint Online pages with no code required! The feature is available today for Office 365 First Release customers. Truely, this is the 'private' publish to web. You can read more about it on the Power BI Blog: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/integrate-power-bi-reports-in-sharepoint-online/ I know from reading many of the comments below that there are other cases in which people want to embed in external portals that enforce authentication, or on billboards that update data frequently. We have a great solution you can build on in Power BI Embedded, an Azure service you can use to build these kinds of experiences. You can read about it here: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/services/power-bi-embedded/ We really appreciate all the feedback and ideas. Please tell us what else you'd like to see us add to Power BI. -Lukasz

RE: private publish to web

I agree with everyone. What is the point of this webpart if you still need a PowerBI Pro license? I would say this request has NOT been completed.

Found another request: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/33707767-share-reports-to-internal-users-without-the-need-o

RE: private publish to web

Please add this soon! The lack of an option like this is seriously harming User Adoption of Power BI and Dynamics here.

RE: private publish to web

Like many others, I also need a solution for our own internal website, and not for sharepoint.

RE: private publish to web

Good, but WE NEED IT ON SHAREPOINT-INTERNAL, not Online.

Hi, any plans to make this available to view by Premium users?

"Once an idea has been marked COMPLETE, all comments shall henceforth be ignored." -- Microsoft PowerBI Customer Support Policy 3.1.2.85

I stand with the majority of users commenting here who took the time to explain why the aforesaid SOLUTION (marked "COMPLETED") does not resolve this issue. Not sure what the purpose of the comment section if it's not for genuine feedback. Support group, I guess.

We need a do-over.

This is wildly important in our enterprise. This would be a huge add.

RE: private publish to web

Would really like to use this on our not for profit SharePoint online instance but can't due to the fact that "viewers" would all need pro licenses. I have to go back to my manager and explain why such a great tool is no longer an option for us. I even did a quick demo to the CFO. How embarrassing ! :)

Please change your licensing model or make the embed option more private ASAP because it's a really good tool and we are deeply embedded (LOL) in the Microsoft environment.
