Show/Hide Pages based on Slicer Value

    Use Case:
I want to place certain settings on Page 1, as slicer selections. Then show hide pages across the report based on a single slicer selection on Page 1.

Dax measure to show/hide visual or page

This will be very useful, we can show/hide the visual/pages based on user login. Also custom navigation based on user login or slicer selection. There are several other possibilities as well.

Tab that Shows/Hides Filters to maximise report real-estate

The ability to maximise screen real-estate by utilising a show/hide tab to the top/bottom/left/right side of the report where you can place the filters would be useful. They could be revealed with a swipe or tap on a "show/hide" button or tag. This would not only free the whole screen for visuals, but could also be used in conjunction with the ideas posted here relating to hiding filters from users, as this could be "locked" to prevent all/specific users from opening the filter tab.

Dynamically Show/Hide a page within Power BI based on data

A way to dynamically Show/Hide a page within Power BI based on data. Happy to write DAX to get the TRUE/FALSE outcome but cannot find a way. I know a workaround is to have a button link to a Page that is hidden and have that button Dynamically change, this wouldn't work in my case though as often they need to be exported to PDF.

Issue is, is that sometime the data can run over multiple pages but not always so want to only show that Page when it has data and hide when it does not.

    Thanks

Show/Hide Tabs and or Visuals based on who is logged in

I have a case where a role is logging in and depending on which region of the company they are in they see certain metrics. While i could have them click a button to show their metrics it would be nice if we could use the role to determine this. It would be nice if we could use the roles to also show and hide specific tabs in a report. You could also use the role to choose which bookmarks are enabled by page so when a user logs in they only see what they need to.

Hide Drillthrough Pages on the Page Navigator

There needs to be more flexibility in what in what can be shown and hidden in The Page Navigator.

There are currently has two options.

    Show hidden pages - On/Off

    Show tooltip pages - On/Off

Often reports are built with all pages hidden, other than the landing page.

The problem lies with "Show hidden pages".

When 'On', it will show all hidden pages, including Drillthrough pages, which usually aren't designed to be navigated to without utilising the Drillthrough functionality. If a report has all pages hidden, other than the landing page, switching this to 'Off' will render the Page Navigator useless, as it will only show the landing page.

    Some Possible solutions could be:

    Show hidden pages - On/Off

Show all pages - On/Off (Off would allow the user to manually select which pages appear on the Pane)

Give each page a 'Show in Navigator' checkbox

Don't auto-hide tables with hidden columns

If a table isn't hidden, it shouldn't be hidden by PBI Desktop. I have a client who wanted to provide a table name in an SSAS Live Query data model, but have no existing columns. The aim was to have a location for report writers to attach their own measures, etc. But if the AS data model has a table that isn't hidden, but only one column that is hidden, PBI desktop hides the table as well. Other tools show the table.

    not show hidden items

In web version of the new ssrs 2016 you can hide folders and they do hide, but once you connect to the same ssrs via this app you still see those folders unhidden. Please apply same logic related to hidden items to app as it is done for web portal. I can explain why we nee this. We use our SSRS server both for regular paginated reports (*.rdl) and mobile ssrs reports (*.rs.mobile). The *.rdl folders are only used through web portal and the *.rs.mobile only through app. We want to have less folders available in the mobile version, because folders with rdl files are irrelevant as they still can’t be open in the app, it will help app keeping clean and nice look.

Dynamic Show / Hide Sheets, Visual Objects, Dimensions and Measures in Power BI

I have been using QlikView since 2014. I am a top QV report developer. Among the top5 QV reports companywide, three are created by me.

The dynamic Show / Hide of QlikView is way better than that of Power BI. It makes it is very easy for developers to create interactive user interfaces.

The Bookmarks approach in Power BI is way clumsy!

We need to use Conditional Enabling by utilizing the Field Parameter to allow users to Show / Hide Sheets (Tabs), Objects (tables, charts, text boxes, etc.), Dimensions and Measures (Expressions). We need to add an attribute in Sheet, Object, Dimension and Measure respectively to accept Field Parameter expressions to determine to Show or Hide. This way is very elegant and flexible.

Once you enable this functionality in Power BI, it will make Power BI report end-user UI design really dynamic!

    Thanks.
