The ability to maximise screen real-estate by utilising a show/hide tab to the top/bottom/left/right side of the report where you can place the filters would be useful. They could be revealed with a swipe or tap on a "show/hide" button or tag.
This would not only free the whole screen for visuals, but could also be used in conjunction with the ideas posted here relating to hiding filters from users, as this could be "locked" to prevent all/specific users from opening the filter tab.
