We need the option to drill up or down online for individual graphs. The new update online is terrible and it is not intuitive. At least add drill up or down back to graphs and also have the option in the explore tab online. There is also not an option to drill up or down when you are in full screen, which is very cumbersome. This is honestly one of the worst updates for the online version.

You can use the drill icon on the visual or use right click to drill on a visual either on the web or in Power BI Desktop.

Hi Friends,

I have a dashboard with differentes KPIs and we are using differentes customs visuals, but we need know how to use drilldown from each kpi to each report and from this report we need to do a return to dashboard, if we using the option pin only it works a one report.
Could help us if Power BI can to work with this funcionability.

Thanks,

RE: Drill up or down on individual graphs online

When I tested this thing to drill up or down the graphs, it seems that if I an viewing a Report in PowerBI online, it works perfectly as in PowerBI desktop. All the functions like Drill up, Drill Down, Expand all, etc works fine.

Problem is If I pin the same report on a dashboard, the Drill down feature stops working. Drill up and Expand all works perfectly fine although the option is visible there. This is more of a BUG than being a feature request.

The second part of this would be to have these features available for graphs which we pin directly to boards. I am not really sure if that works fine or not. let me know in case there is any help needed on this part to better explain what I mean to say. I would be more than happy to share my dashboards to improve PowerBI. thanks!

You should now see the arrows on the individual graphs like before. The BI team rolled it back out sometime late yesterday (5/23) afternoon. I confirmed it on several of my reports this morning, including in full screen mode.

They are reverting to the old drill down!

"We’ve heard your feedback loud and clear. We will be reverting to the original drill down behavior in the next several days. Thank you for all of the feedback!" -Adam Saxton

This capability is a critical part of Power BI reports. The efficiency and speed lost to quickly draw important insight is a huge step back and away from the direction that this product was enabling.
