Allow basic formatting for large text objects such as a note or comment field. Text wrap, resize, etc.
Combine dashboards and story telling. Let people pin/pick exisiting charts form reports with pre-set filters (like dashboards) and then add text to create "slides". These would form stories that could either be shared and consumed via PBI.com or exported to Power Points.
