To refresh the Datamart, and to refresh the dataset based on completion of the Datamart’s refresh using Power Automate

Hi Team,

We have a requirement to implement datamart for our business needs across Power BI in which we would like to refresh the datamart and it's dataset based on successful completion of the datamart's refresh through Power Automate.

Kindly let me know the feasibility/availability of this feature.

Datamart Refresh History with Failures

Currently when Datamart's refresh only the successful refreshes are shown in the refresh history. This makes it very difficult to troubleshoot refresh failures. Having the ability to see in the Refresh History the failed refreshes with the details will help troubleshoot those failures. Currently, without there it is alot of trail and error.

Unify Datamart product offering with Datawarehouse

Fabric DWH is really easy to set up and maintain, I don't think having two products Datamart and DWH make much sense today, let's focus on providing a great DWH experience in fabric instead of maintaining two product offerings.

Using Fabric DWH, you can build different architectures, either an Enterprise Grade DWH, Departmental DWH, Datamart, or simply a data store.

For existing PPU users, I can imagine Microsoft offering a special offering of Fabric DWH with a maximum storage or something in that nature. 

This is not a particularly original idea, just look at the market , there is definitely a trend for unification and simplification of data products.

Datamart should not block managed managed identity access.

we have a use case where we want to Extract Data from Datamart and load it to an Azure SQL DB, the data will be used for an OLTP scenario.

as of today, Datamart endpoint block managed identity access , as a matter of fact even Python Access is Blocked, I know it is a preview, but IMHO, it is a very big limitation, Datamart was supposed to make PowerBI Data more open, that's not the case

Datamart: support multiple refresh policy/schedule for tables in a datamart

Could we define a several refresh schedule policies/profiles and then apply to these to the tables in a datamart.

This would allow some tables to refresh more frequently, and other less, and others even no refresh.

I'd like to use ADF to populate and refresh a Datamart as a destination.

In their current state, Datamarts present no option to cancel a refresh. Without this, Datamart builders will become risk-averse, fearing to make query changes, lest their next refresh take days to finish.

To promote efficiency and adoption of datamarts, developers should be able to convert an existing dataset into a datamart to speed up the development process. This would include the tables, ETL (PQ), relationships, measures, etc.

It is now impossible to connect data in DataMart from PBI Desktop.

It would be very convenient if this can happen.

allow python connection from ADS to Datamart

Azure Data Studio can read Datamarts thru SQL but not Python 3. There is a connection blockage : the host close the connection.
