Provide the facility to be able to start typing a word on a dropdown list and have it filter to just those matches.

We have a very long list of products and if we need to filter sometimes we have to scroll right down to the bottom. If we could just type in Z for example and jump straight to everything that began with Z that would be very useful.

Or, as an alternative. If we could pin the most popular selections in a dropdown list to the top so they appear first that would also be useful.

RE: More filter functionality for dropdown lists

I would like to see this added as well. If you are talking about drop down in a slicer, Click on the ellipsis ... in the upper right corner of the slicer and select "Search". This will add a search box at the top of the slicer drop down list.

For filters, Perhaps this work around will help until/if this functionality is added. Add your Product field. Choose "Starts with" in Advanced filtering, enter the criteria. Add that field again to the filters, using Basic filtering, and that list will only show items that meet the first criteria you entered the first time you added the field to the filters.
