Right now if a person is assigned to a workspace, but not assigned to a security role for a particular report, they will see all "x's" in that report.

Rather than seeing all "x's" it would be beneficial to hide the report from that user completely. There are some reports that some need access to that others don't within the same workspace.

RE: Hide Reports in a Workspace if a User is not Assigned to a Security Role

The issue is not solved by row level security. PowerBI needs a feature where you can show/hide reports in the workspace/app based on who has access to the report. For example, imagine there is an HR department who wants a single workspace. They have very confidential reports called the following: 1) People we are firing this month, 2) Executive bonuses above $1M, and 3) New Company Headquarters Potential Locations. If you put these reports in the workspace, everyone in HR knows the company is moving its headquarters, firing a bunch of people, and paying its executives outrageous bonuses. To keep these reports hidden from only those who are part of the project would require 4 workspaces (the three reports listed above and the general HR workspace). This is a bit cumbersome and would require the Chief HR Officer to access four workspaces to find her/his reports. With a show/hide option, all these could be in the single workspace and only those with access would know the report exists.
