Please show the description set in field properties when hovering over a row or column header in a table/matrix viz. Its nice to get the description when hovering over a field in the Fields panel, however, would be much more valuable in the table / matrix. This way users can easily see the description of the values being viewed. Especially when the description provides calculation info.

This is a total no-brainer idea to save space in column headers by simply being able to mouseover them and show the definitions in a tooltip. It would save us countless hours of headaches fielding questions from users on calculations and other definitions.

This would be a very helpful and practical way to show the users more info about what a particular measure or field is.

The client is requesting that the field description shows when the mouse hovers over the Value heading in a matrix. This isn't currently possible, but it would make a big difference to the reports. Please add that functionality.

It is common to want to clarify the definition of a measure, I am constantly trying to find ways to 'decorate' pages, charts, tables, etc. with ways to get to the business definition of a measure. Allowing access to the Description in tooltips (or even better in Dax) so we can use it dynamically in other areas would be huge.

Yes. That would be a great addition. There is no simple text based tooltip for a column header. This would make it easy to create one.

Yes.. show the field, not the field name. How is that helpful?
