Hi y'all, We added conditional formatting for the matrix visual back in November. You can learn about the feature here: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-november-feature-summary/#matrixConditionalFormatting And for those using our new matrix preview, you'll be able to use the same functionality there. - Amanda

The conditionnal formatting currently added lacks flexibility. You should be able to specify on which kind of grouping you want the conditionnal formatting to apply. I have to go back to Excel with a Pivot Table to have conditionnal formatting by column instead of the whole matrix. Sad!

I would also suggest to allow tooltips as an alternative for tables and later matrices in the case of conditional formatting. While it is good that we can show the value of every cell, tooltips can be more helpful in the case of very large matrices and tables.

Hi Power Bi team - When can we expect conditional formatting for matrix/matrices? I know we have it for tables. It would be great if we can have it for matrix/matrices as well.
