Hi,
I was hoping if you could add Filter Option in Data View Tab like Excel or PowerPivot. This would make cross checking super convenient

Regards,
Sami

such a shame you didn't finish the job. One of the main reasons for asking for this was so when a formula errors you can filter down the row that is causing the error, particualrly for the old multiple values error. Is that another thing i can vote for. Still keep going back to excel to debug which is infuriating.

Please add a SUM value at the bottom of the Data window when a numerical field is highlighted to go along with the Count, Distinct Count, etc. calculations.

Thanks! One thing you might have noticed is that dropdowns drop further down than they should given a long list of distinct values, making it impossible to click the apply button. I guess this will get fixed soon.

Thanks again, it is a great feature.

Awesome! Thanks for getting this done. The filter buttons are fantastic and surpass the current functionality of Power Pivot. Yay!

RE: Add Filter in Data View PowerBI Desktop

Appreciate your update of when will this feature made available?.

Really extremely frustrating this is not available since day one when Power Bi was born, when it is essentially a by-product of powerpivot in excel.

What I am doing now as a stop gap solution is to have both exactly same model running at same time in Power BI Desktop (for editing data model and visualization) and Excel Powerpivot window (for filtering to debug). Can you guys imaging how stupid is this stop gap solution is??

Please. Let us know when (at least a time frame) will it be available.

Will the new feature also show the result of a calculation without having to go to the report view like in Power Pivot?

RE: Add Filter in Data View PowerBI Desktop

Since 80% of data analysis is spent in data prep, this is a HUGE validation time saver for any field calculations. Seems like this should provide the greatest return on the time spent developing this feature. Besides, like was mentioned before, this feature already existed in Power Pivot, so replicating something that provides value from previous tech should be a no brainer. Please help elevate this feature! It is huge for using Power BI for data analysis.
