We really love the new feature of 'Composite Models' in the Power BI July 2018 update! This enables us to join custom lists with DirectQuery sources.

It would also be beneficial if this would also work when connected to SSAS Tabular in DirectQuery.
This would stronlgy improve the enterprise features of Power BI.

Having more than one cube in a report is very important for several important report we need to deliver. Always relying on the cube itself getting fatter and fatter to become the uber-cube-that-solves-it-all is not feasible in many non-trivial cases.

Eagerly waiting for this feature. It will help us bridge the gap between performance and extendability. Hoping that this feature is part of the next release for Power BI.

This should be the next big feature for Power BI. Definitely a must have feature!

Another vote for this. We have data sources that for one reason or another cannot be pulled into our tabular model but that users really want mashed up into their reports and dashboards.

I would also like this idea to work when connecting to live to tabular models. So it is possible to connect to multiple ssas in one desktop file in the same way as with excel.

I currently work across a number of data sources and being able to tie them together is a must for me to create and represent the outcomes in a effective way. I would really need this function available for me to utilize PBI for my daily work flow.

It is very important feature in order to make a comprehensive Executive report. We have a requirement but we are stuck due to this.

Please make sure this is done on the RS version of PB also. So many features not included in the PB RS version that are in the public release. Stop ignoring on prem customers.
