Tenant Settings - Export Data

Separate "Export Data" and "Analyze in Excel"

I want do give the "Analyze in Excel" without "Export Data"

RE: Tenant Settings - Export Data

This is needed. I filter the report via passed URL filter. This is effective for limiting what data the user can see. The Analyze in Excel give users access to all underlining data. Also disabling/enabling Analyze in Excel should be report level, not organization.

This would be a very valuable feature from a data governance perspective

@Benoit Delvaux, totally agree with your comment.

This coupling is very restrictive

Also there should be decoupling between "Export Data", "Download file as .pbix" in order to allow users to connect to Power BI Datasets from Power BI Desktop.

We too have a need from our HR partners for this functionality. As Service Management and from a BSA perspective, I too see this as valuable capability! Thanks for posting!

RE: Tenant Settings - Export Data

I want people that view the report to be able to export to excel, but i dont want them to have access to download the entire report. Those two options should be separate
