Please allow Copy/Paste functionality from Power BI Desktop. We often need to recreate PBI reports in Excel just so we can Copy tables or charts and paste into PowerPoint or simply email it. Need stronger integration with other Office products. Copy/paste seems so basic.

Note: Our company uses PBI Desktop and PBI Report Server (on SQL server) - cloud services are not an option because of Protected Health Information.

We shipped copy and pasting visuals between .pbix files in November. You can learn more about this feature here: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-november-2018-feature-summary/#copyPaste This is in addition to the copy data features we added in September: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-september-2018-feature-summary/#copy Note that you can get reports into PowerPoint using the export to PowerPoint feature, and if you want specific improvements make sure to vote on those ideas. If you want to copy an image to your clipboard instead of the actual visual so you can reuse it anywhere, make sure to vote on this idea: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/11698812-copy-screenshot-of-visual-to-clipboard And you can vote on this idea for more copy data scenarios (such as whole table of data to clipboard) https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/6696392

RE: Copy/Paste from Power BI Desktop

Holy Moly YES YES YES!!!!

Why is copy paste something that we even have to ask for?!?!

Should someone really have to export an entire table when all they want is to copy a quote from one line???

This is a truly stupendous FAIL that it was not available from day 0.

Much needed feature to get users like analysts and support personnel to move away from Excel and adopt Power BI. Such users need to be able to copy and paste values.. especially things like say a Transaction ID or Employee ID or Invoice No etc into an ERP system so they can act on it.

Power BI needs the capability to copy data so that it can be pasted elsewhere.

RE: Copy/Paste from Power BI Desktop

Our use of the Table and Matrix visualizations is extensive. So it would be great if we can copy the results that we're seeing to further analyze. Frankly, it is very surprising that this simple, but useful feature hasn't been added already.
