The September 2018 desktop release made Switch Theme generally available. With it you can import a custom theme from a .json file.

Once imported, the imported theme become active, but, even though there is a theme Name in the .json file, the new theme name is not added to the menu of choices and there is no indication that the theme with that name is now active.

Please add imported themes to the menu and do something to highlight which theme is currently active.

Yes. When we talk about standardization, for big or small companies, will be great to add the starndard themes and colours accordingly to the brand guidelines

RE: Add imported theme to "Switch Theme" menu

We want to have a system where all report writers are following the prescribed corporate themes. Power BI - the way it works as of Jan 2022, does not give any visibility into what the current theme is.

The report developer has to keep re-loading. Overall the effort is very onerous.

RE: Add imported theme to "Switch Theme" menu

Users are emotionally attached to color schemes. Though this does not change the underlying data or the ability to analyze it, there is a perceived usefulness of the report based on the colors used. A user may not want to use a report simply because the colors do not appeal to them.

The current theme selections are pretty basic and are more for accessibility purposes.

The ability to dynamically change a color scheme based on uploaded templates would allow users to select a personal preference making the reports more palatable.

Please update this in the next version to include the imported theme in the theme menu so I don't have to load every time I want to change to a corporate theme.

Please add this feature. I have to add a custom theme every time I create a doc. Thank you

Please make this available. It doesn't make sense if we have a theme applied yet not showing up in the list!

This is really an important requirement, seriously needed! This would be helpful so we don't have to keep reloading.
