Currently pin visual is snapshot not refreshing with report refresh.
so it is not helpful at all.
Pin live page refreshes the tile but it includes main report header and filter . PowerBI team needs to come up with Pin live visual.

This topic is very needed. I need to send new subscription e-mails every month to different users but the new month bar does not appear in the tile pinned in the dashboard. This limitation is very sad.

Pin live visual is necessary to create helpful alerts.

Dashboards are virtually useless without the ability to automatically refresh them based on underlying report filters, or at least slicers available on the dashboard to allow for date parameter filtering.

This would be very helpful for alerts as well. Right now you can only manage alerts on select visuals. Pinning an entire report page live to a dashboard doesn't give you the options for managing alerts. On the flip side the fact that pinned visualizations never update severely limit the usefulness of alerts

A dashboard is intended to gather the main KPI visualizations from different segments (that is different reports) of a company and present them on one spot to have a general overview. If the information on one of the tiles is alarming, this should intrigue the user to click on that tile and go on the underlaying report. If the the data on the tiles is not fresh and does not match the data in the reports, the dashboard loses its purpose and is rather confusing the user than helping him.Pining the whole dashboards is not a good alternative as the dashboard quickly becomes chaotic. It also does not eable the user to present just the essential information.

Agree 100%. This is a constant annoyance for us. Changes take much longer than they need to due to the need to re-pin to every dashboard they exist on. If someone forgets to re-pin, the visuals get out of sync and we end up being unable to answer questions about said visuals, as they had changed in the underlying report.
