Need to be able to dynamically determine between dates slicer similar to the relative slicer, but still with the options to change dates as needed.
For example: date slicer should always show the last 30 days. but still have the ability to change start and end dates.

RE: Dynamically determine default dates when using date slicer with the between option.

I wish I could vote for this over and over. There are so many attempts at working around just being able to set a default range on the between date slicer. There is a definite and popular user need for a dynamic default range for the between slicer, since users may be required to select custom ranges more specific than what is available in the relative dates. If I choose a between date slicer it will only stick as the date range I publish with on the report. It would be great to have the benefits of the relative slicer in the range slicer all-in-one, it should not be an either or choice.Page filters do not work here either, as there can be discrepancy between the visual itself and the page filtered dates leading to a poor user experience.

RE: Dynamically determine default dates when using date slicer with the between option.

I am trying to get the most recent 13 calendar months to default in a slicer. For example, if today is 1/7/2022, I would like to default the slicers from 1/1/2021 - 1/7/2022. For many businesses, it is important to see the current month as well as the same month prior year. Is this something MS can add? It's easy to create a dax calendar that has this date range, but there is no option to create a default slicer.
