Hello,

Adding a button with shortcut to easily switch between "Preview Mode" and "Design Mode", thus you can try the report in Power BI desktop as if it is published. Also, you don't need to hold CTRL to test the action buttons, etc.

Happy Power BI'ing

Still something that would be amazing to have, even a few years later!

Yes, also in design mode, being able to click on a visual to customise each part (like in excel, select a single bar, series, or axis to change colour etc.) as the formatting pane is getting busier and cluttered (especially as it is shared with the visualisation icons). Maybe having two panes for viz and formatting similar to adobe illustrator. When in preview mode, clicking on visuals will cross-highlight or have all the intelligence and drill-through features.

RE: Switching between Preview Mode and Design Mode

PLEASE! With some of the latest changes I now need to publish some reports to service to see the end look/feel. If I made a mistake I need to edit on desktop & publish again. Very time consuming. We desperately need a PREVIEW or REPORT view.
