Be able to create email subscriptions for the PBIX reports in the Report Server

We’d hoped we’d have a good way to bring this functionality to the server – however, similarly to Export to PDF, after a lengthy evaluation of all the options and required investments, we’re not planning to bring this feature to the server at this time.

This is a show stopper. We are now evaluating Tableau and Power BI and this lack of functionality for the on-premises Report Server will probably push our company towards Tableau.

This is a high priority feature in my opinion, especially for those SSRS projects to be migrated to PBI reporting.

Absolutely necessary to communicate updates to users. Please consider implementing as soon as possible.

We use the email 'alerts' functionality in PBI which when you schedule a refresh of a report and subscribe to it or a dashboard driven off the report will email you an attachment. This attachment can be opened with Microsoft Paint, it not great and just about passes. However I would say it works OK about 4 out of 5 times. The larger dashboards will sometimes leave off the charts or them be blank, which is embarassing when you automatically forward these reports onto non-PBI users to show what a great product it is. Today was is the first time I have had no reports, eventhough the refresh has happened, sometimes they come later in the day, but this is too late now to be credible. There is also then no option to resend the email, which is very frustrating. It is a one chance only email delivery each day and it is doesn't work well you just have to wait for the next day or take crude screenshots to forward to colleagues. I have even built similar reports to try to get round this as a backup, but it recognises it is the same dataset I am pulling, so won't let me have another email. I am close to pulling the plug on the project as this is a real show stopper, as C suite bosses do not want to have to log in to get their reports.

We need this functionality as its a show stopper to decommission tableau. The team loves power BI but this functionality is a must to move on with the product.
