We have some filters that have thousands of values. Users/customers have asked for the ability to paste multiple search values (a delimited list) into the filter search so they can select multiple items without scrolling through the list manually. For example: if I have a list of 20 (or so) numerical identifiers I want to filter to out of a list of 100,000 values. I could just paste a delimited list in the search (1, 100, 12345, 67950) and it will automatically add those values to my selections.

RE: Search filters for multiple items

I'm relying on the custom visual filter by 'DevScope' called 'Filter by List by DevScope'. I saved a copy of the file when they discontinued it, but luckily they added it back as well... I would rather not rely on 3rd party visuals for something so critical though. This should be a standard option - it would be nice to have in the filter pane or as a standalone visual similar to a slicer.

RE: Search filters for multiple items

This would be a brilliant addition. The below link has an example (and download link) for a visual that does this, but unfortunately it is no longer available in Microsoft's PBI visual store.
