I think it would be really powerful and insightful if you were able to add different titles to different levels of a chart as you drill down through it.

RE: Different Titles for Different Levels Of Drill Down

'I agree with Kyle's comment

Example: When I drill through a date hierarchy and I get down to the day, the default title reads "Sales by Day and Region" and the bar graph labels are 1, 2, 3, 4... - but what month is that? And what year?

There is no indication of the higher levels in the hierarchy from whence I came?

Possible solutions:
- Breadcrumbs in the graph title
- A way to build dynamic graph titles using tokens that represent the drill hierarchy
- Have the graph labels retain the drill hierarchy. Instead of the labels drilling as "2016" --> "June" --> "1" they drill as "2016" --> "June, 2016" --> "June 1, 2016"
- Stack up the axis titles as we drill (first line is current level, 2nd line is the level above that, etc.) so my title would be:
Day
June
2016
and now the bar graph labels (1, 2, 3, ...) make sense

This is exactly what I would need the drill down to do in order for other people to follow what the data is actually reporting on.

Definitely needed. Without it I have no idea about the current drill down context.

There are other registered ideas that are almost the same as this one. This uncontrolled idea submitting option is not efficient. I think this is a really important feature but because of the inefficient registration does not get the votes it deserves (now its fragmented).

'Yes - I agree. I'm not sure if this is exactly what Jake is thinking but I need a way to see where I drilled FROM.

Example: When I drill through a date hierarchy and I get down to the day, the default title reads "Sales by Day and Region" and the bar graph labels are 1, 2, 3, 4... - but what month is that? And what year?

2016

Something ...
