Azure Key Vault based reference for PowerBI Data source credentials will tremendously reduce maintenance overhead for PBI datasets on accounts management (Password changes). Moreover, referring secrets from azure key vault is preferred for majority of services hoping PowerBI will also support it.

This absolutely must happen, with functionality available to try out prior to GA. A UI/UX similar to Purview’s Key Vault connection and credential association would be a good start.

More than just Power BI, secret management for Fabric seems nonexistent. There seems to be no good way, for example to inject a secret or credential into a Notebook's execution, or to use auth headers in a Pipeline HTTP request, or anything similar. If Fabric is to be the data platform of choice, there has to be a good way to manage credentials and secrets. It is not enough to wait for Microsoft to publish connectors and hope that these support the auth schemes we need.
