I think the list slicer should have the search functionality in the format section in a category all to itself - and click on the elipsis (...) to hide it. Newbies ... like myself ... will spin on it's not possible to search on a list slicer and over explain to users it's not possible in Power BI yet... BECUASE it's well tucked away and hidden - and absolutely needed on a slicer with 100s of possible values.

Personally, I also would like to have the text slicer search turned on, by default. I voted.
But the KEY, I think, is that we should be able to change the setting in our .json custom report theme files.
