In the recent April update ,Power Bi provided Cross report drill through option.

After publishing, when we do drill through from parent report to child report , can we add functionality to open child report in new tab , so user can compare parent and child report at same time .

This would be very helpful as users expect to be able to see the summary reports and more detailed reports separately (eg to allow comparison) without having to go back and forth through the browser navigation.

This would be extremely helpful! Also, my organization has noticed that if you personalize a visual, then use the cross-report drillthrough, the personalizations are cleared when returning to the original report using the browser back button! Opening in a new tab, I believe, would solve that issue as well.

This would also make for a better and less confusing user experience on cross report drill through where the browser back button must be used to go back to the original report instead of a back button in the Power BI report. A user can see that a new tab was opened and close it. There is nothing indicating to them that they need to use the browser back button unless a note is added to to the report.
