It would be nice if there is an option to have a scheduled export of a report to PDF. A nice to have feature would be to directly e-mail it to people so they are being notified of the latest report.

In addition to the support we have for paginated reports already, we have started the work to support this for Power BI reports and expect it to land by the end of the calendar year in the Power BI service.  Like for paginated reports, it will be a Premium feature and will be available to customers with either Premium capacity or if you have the new Premium per user license, which will be available at no cost to all users during the public preview period.  You can read more about getting priority access to the public preview for your tenant at this link - https://powerbi.microsoft.com/blog/priority-access-sign-up-for-power-bi-premium-per-user-public-preview-now-available/

In addition, the scheduled email should contain a link to the up-to-date report, and if the report contains tables of data then the email should have an attachment of the PDF and excel file.

This function is key to decide whether we use PowerBI for our service. For retail and chain restaurant business, respective store manager and section manager need to receive daily report with their handheld device. Such devices are quite simple ones but can receive emails with PDF.
To deliver our service to such customers, PowerBI forces us to create PDF and send report by human hand. Therefore, we are using other BI tools by only this reason.

This has been proposed before, but has mistakenly been set to "Completed", so therefore I will raise this request again.

Power BI Desktop is an extremely useful tool for visualizing data and for generating drilldown reports. However - a lot of executives (who are usually the ones we generate these reports for) prefers to get the reports in binary form.
Thus we really could use a function to export the reports (pages and dashboards) to a useful format; for example PDF, HTML and PNG/JPG format.

Agreed. Scheduled exports and delivery options like in SSRS is needed.

In some of our dashboards we have claims data that we show from month to month. Due to the mass amount of data we get on a monthly basis we only archive 60 days worth of this data. instead of having a user export manually every month, it would be a real helpful to have the option to schedule an export of data for time/date, one time/reoccurring, monthly/weekly/daily and to be able to input the format type (pdf, excel, etc.).

RE: scheduled export of a report to pdf

Right now the only way to produce PDF files, or print dashboards is by uploading the data to powerbi.com and then performing those actions from there.

Unfortunately, some of us CAN'T upload the data due to IT restrictions on data use, and on top of that it's really inconvenient to have to upload data just to produce a PDF file or print a page.

Please add the ability to Power BI Desktop to produce PDF files directly. Without this I have a much harder time arguing the business case of Power BI, since most of the consumers of my reports don't want to learn to use Power BI, and they don't want to sign up for an online account. They just want to view PDF reports or printed copies.

If I could produce PDF files from Power BI Desktop directly I'd have a much easier time convincing people to sign up for the online service, and I wouldn't be stuck at such a roadblock to adoption!

RE: scheduled export of a report to pdf

Sending a hard copy of a report to a customer, partner or manager without granting full access to a dashboard is a critical need in my organization.

Please add proper support for exporting or printing all pages of a report to a PDF.

The current method of printing individual pages is insufficient and requires significant manual work.
