The "Welcome to Power BI Desktop" screen that comes up when you open Power BI Desktop is really, really annoying. I know there's a registry hack that will turn it off, but it also disables the new version 'alerts', which I like, especially for intra-month bug fix releases. Can you please either get rid of the screen or give us the option to turn it off separately from the version notifications?

Thanks for all the votes - this was implemented. You can disable this screen by clicking 'Show this screen on startup'.

RE: Disable "Welcome to Power BI Desktop" Nag Screen

This is really annoying. I now get 2 nag screens when I open PBI. I can't sign up for PBI online because I am a consultant and do not have a license to use with this client's domain. I do have an account with my employer, but it would not be good to sign in to that. Also, just prototyping reports internally with clients, this is really making my client unhappy having to get out of 2 nag screens. This should have a disable checkbox and then just 'alerts' when new version are available. It's like web sites that pop up email sign ups every time you visit...eventually you don't want to go there any more.

I train new Power BI users and they're often confused by this screen.
