Make it possible to embed Power BI dashboards/reports/items on Office365/SharePoint online pages, for example as a web part.

Today I’m very excited to announce the availability of the Power BI report web part for SharePoint Online! We’ve heard from you all that SharePoint Online is a critical part of how you disseminate and communicate data and that to-date it wasn’t easy to include Power BI content there. The feature we’re announcing today changes all that. We’ve been busy at work with the SharePoint team building an out-of-the-box web part for SharePoint Online using their new Modern Pages infrastructure. The new web part we are releasing today enables SharePoint authors to embed Power BI reports directly in SharePoint Online pages with no code required! The feature is available today for Office 365 First Release customers. Read all about the new web part on the Power BI Blog: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/integrate-power-bi-reports-in-sharepoint-online/ We really appreciate your ideas so do let us know what else you'd like us to add to the web part. -Lukasz

RE: Embed in SharePoint/Office365

Do we have an ETA? We had hoped to have this last year.

This is core functionality for a tool in Office 365. The value proposition for Office 365 is secure integration between the tools. You lose a lot by not being able to securely include these SharePoint pages. Most meaningful reports have to be secured.

Similar to many of the comments on this stream and others related, this is a fundamental requirement for us using PBI. We are a very large global corporation and would share these reports regularly with all our clients if we could do so securely. This would be an incredible source of free advertising for Power BI as we'd be directly demonstrating its capabilities to executive level decision makers.

Without this. We can't use it.

We're very much looking forward to the next update. Thanks for all the great work!

Glad you've been working on it. Noticed this: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/embedding-a-power-bi-report-into-salesforce/.

Don't mean to be negative, PBI is a game changer but curious about the priorities.

Devscope isn't an option for my organisation. How long before this feature is added?

Additionally making the publish reports accessible only to assigned users.

It is currently the only thing stopping us switching from tableau for areas of BI reporting

RE: Embed in SharePoint/Office365

Will it be the the PowerBI Embedded version, where you can embed reports which you have uploaded via the cli to your Azure Workspace or will it be the version, where you can access reports, dasboards and tiles from your personal workspace and O365 groups?

At the bottom under 'How it works (technical details)' it states that the report definition could take up to an hour to refresh, it would be great if it updated in a more timely manner 15 minutes or so, even if it is limited to internal users only and not necessarily for public portals/sites. https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-service-publish-to-web/

DevScope app trial has shown issues with authentication and rendering speed. It appears not to be suitable for adoption and we look forward to this functionality being added by Microsoft soon.
