Make it possible to embed Power BI dashboards/reports/items on Office365/SharePoint online pages, for example as a web part.

Today I’m very excited to announce the availability of the Power BI report web part for SharePoint Online! We’ve heard from you all that SharePoint Online is a critical part of how you disseminate and communicate data and that to-date it wasn’t easy to include Power BI content there. The feature we’re announcing today changes all that. We’ve been busy at work with the SharePoint team building an out-of-the-box web part for SharePoint Online using their new Modern Pages infrastructure. The new web part we are releasing today enables SharePoint authors to embed Power BI reports directly in SharePoint Online pages with no code required! The feature is available today for Office 365 First Release customers. Read all about the new web part on the Power BI Blog: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/integrate-power-bi-reports-in-sharepoint-online/ We really appreciate your ideas so do let us know what else you'd like us to add to the web part. -Lukasz

RE: Embed in SharePoint/Office365

According to the Microsoft input last year, it's in development for 10 months at least. Is there any release date scheduled?

RE: Embed in SharePoint/Office365

How can you call it 'business intelligence' if you can only share it publicly? lol.

Update on when this will be available would be most welcome.

RE: Embed in SharePoint/Office365

Power BI is great, but we (my organization and from the look at the comments many others) really need an update on a secure SharePoint solution!

RE: Embed in SharePoint/Office365

Like many posts below, the inability to share reports securely with clients without having all the underlying data publicly released is an issue. Hope a resolve, by embedding the report through Sharepoint or otherwise, is on its way soon.

Still awaiting an update as to when it will come out. The AMA for Power BI stated that the developers slated it for release early this year. With January at its final days, it would be nice if we saw an actual update to this idea from the developers.

RE: Embed in SharePoint/Office365

Our organization is heavily invested in finding a way to share data from the 10 countries where we work through our SharePoint site. If this feature is coming soon, we will not build a custom interface using Visual Studio. Any update on the priority would be appreciated!

RE: Embed in SharePoint/Office365

I agree. I stopped testing Power BI once I found out it cannot be integrated into Sharepoint online/office 365. Useless to me otherwise.
