Ability to define rules at column level, to control the data fields available to different roles (e.g. employee salary visible to the users in finance roles only, while other employee details visible to other department roles).

As others have said; this is a really desperately needed feature to help with data protection risk management.

We are faced with running independent workspaces; which is inefficient and makes keeping on top of both version control and membership management incredibly difficult.

I can't believe this still hasn't been resolved when GDPR is such a huge deal. Even just the ability to mask values rather than completely remove fields (so that visuals do not break) would be hugely important to so many of your users.

This would be awesome. Having to run a number of completely duplicated reports just for the sake of two columns, not at all efficient.
