Current page-level filters allow us to look at relative months and years as simple "months" or "calendar months". "Calendar months" always excludes the current MTD, but that's exactly the range that I'm often looking for: Select data for whole prior months and MTD for the current month.

Agree completely here. Ideally instead of hiding the "include today's date" option, it could be a dynamic checkbox depending on what relative calendar option you've chosen: If you've chosen "in the last X calendar weeks", the checkbox would be "include this week". If you've chosen in the last X calendar years", the checkbox would be "include this year", and so on.

As far as I know, there's still no way of doing it but using a filter on a calculated column (N days/months/years from now). This is an ugly solution to the final user.
A checkbox "include current" when we select "Next/Last" and "XXXXX (Calendar)" would be a much more elegant solution, imho.
Looking forward to see this implemented.

I am looking for exactly the same. Running 12 months rolling plus MTD is a completely needed filter. Now it takes 365 days excluding always some data from the latest dates. imagine today taking from 16/10/2018 until 16/10/2017. I am excluding 15 days from last years october. Would need a solution for this.

This would make life so much easier and much tidier reports! When looking at how performance is trending the user wants to see the historic results AND current position. At the moment I have to use non dynamic filters which the user has to manually amend as each month passes. Its frustrating as the relative date filter would be perfect if it could just have the "include current month" tick box like it does for 'Days'. Please can this be added!

I think what I want is functionally equivalent. I want to show "the last 13 calendar months, including this month."
Or, "the last 3 calendar years, including this year." So that I can show two full years of history, plus the current year (year-to-date).
Notice that if your slicer is for "last X days," then you get a checkbox for "Include today."
I think the natural extension would be: if you slicer is for "last X calendar months," then there should be a check box for "Include this month"...or if your slicer is for "last X years," then there should be a check box for "Include this year."
