     NEW feature : Create PBI Datasets online 


    At minima all tables on IMPORT storage mode as STEP#1


     -Power query (Gateway sources, public cloud sources)

        -Modelling (Star model, DAX measures creations, RLS setup) 

     -Both fully on line

    I fully agree with you. This feature is of utmost importance and has been requested for long time. It is truly baffling to comprehend the strategy Microsoft is employing by not yet providing it in the Power BI service online.
