The new card snaps its edges like regular, however, if you don't have a border around the entire visual, it still snaps the edge of the visual.
If there is no overall border it should snap to the outermost edge of the actual [visible] cards, not the invisible edge of the visual. There is always a space and its difficult to align the cards with the rest of my visuals.
Perhaps another solution would be to have the cards reach the edge..

In the "General" tab, select "Properties" then "Padding". You can then set the padding to 0 on the edges as required.
