I'm trying to combine two simple oData-feed from two different CRM-organisations with the "Table.Combine". It works with datasets from a single source, it works from two sources in Power BI Desktop, but i fails on app.powerbi.com.

The error I get is "Information is needed in order to combine data". This is really essential for us if we can use Power BI.

Facing the same issue, sometimes in only one workspace among many for a same dataset

"Ignore Privacy settings" parameter is ignored itself

This problem has NOT been fixed.

The "Ignore Privacy settings" option in Desktop does not work in Power BI Service at all.

The workaround is to set the privacy level to Organisational in both Power BI Desktop and Service.

Ran into this. Can confirm that the privacy level solution worked for me as well.

""I solved it by indicating the same privacy level for all sources requiring to be combined.
In data sources configuration, all are indicated with Organisational privacy.

My guess would be that "Ignore Privacy settings" can't be taken into account right now in Power BI services.""

Not fixed. One more thing that works in desktop and then fails in service.

Definitely not fixed. I am getting this error when combining Data-flow with SharePoint Excel file.

Thanks everyone to bring this up.

What I done to solve this issue is set up privacy settings for all data source in same level for both desktop-side and service-portal-side.

If just change settings on PBI desktop, that doesn't really fix the issue.

I encountered this issue.
I solved it by indicating the same privacy level for all sources requiring to be combined.
In data sources configuration, all are indicated with Organisational privacy.

My guess would be that "Ignore Privacy settings" can't be taken into account right now in Power BI services.
