Supporting SSRS (Paginated Reports) in Power BI Pro gives you another major advantage over competitors like Tableau. This becomes even more powerful if you can drillthrough from a Power BI visual to a Paginated Report passing parameters to that Paginated Report.

There needs to be some replacement for SSRS that's available on the cloud. Premium is way out of our budget and it's difficult to explain to management why they can only access SOME of their reports from the internet. There are solutions to expose the SSRS reports, but we're a very small Data Science team at a Finance company and it's difficult to assign resources to develop and maintain that.

Premium is too expensive a cloud based reporting facility is needed where the user count is hundreds not thousands.

This would be a really powerful feature to bring to Pro users. As many others have said for smaller organizations the jump from Pro to Premium is too big to make.

Agreed with the others that Premium is just too expensive for SMB's, even organisations with 100's, but not 1000's of users.

With the current licensing, I expect Paginated reports / SSRS will slowly drop out of use and become mostly irrelevant, as only a few very large organisations will use it. Smaller orgs will want SaaS solutions, where that component is not offered. Skills and understanding of the tool will decay and competitors will flourish.
Microsoft are likely falling for the "sunk cost fallacy" - Paginated reports / SSRS has already been built and is a very evolved product, with easy integration to "core" Power BI. Adding it to Pro (or some new intermediate license tier) would immediately fill many functionality gaps in Power BI, increasing the speed of uptake and migration from legacy and competitor solutions into Power BI.

Our company has selected another BI product, and Power BI Report Server exists solely because of it being covered by SQL licensing w/ SA. If you want to ever get customers like us to use the Power BI Service, you'll have to support Power BI Pro because there's no way we'll ever be able to get Premium.

Can't believe more people aren't voting for this. Premium licensing is way out of reach for us even at the nonprofit pricing level, so would be great if this feature could be made available at the Pro level. That, or perhaps introduce some sort of intermediate licensing tier or add-on so that small orgs and nonprofits can benefit.
