We’ve found a solution. We have moved to IBM Cognos Analytics 11. Takes a bit of a learning curve but for the price fantastic analytics and comprehensive export and scheduling of pixel perfect paginated reports. Promo on at the moment so only $35 per month for premium admin user (you only need one).

Dashboards present high level visuals of the most important information required to achieve specific business objectives.
They are designed for at-a-glance monitoring and decision making.
Yet users still require the need to deep dive into the more granular details accommodated by paginated reports.
Requiring users to use a different tool (ex: SSRS) takes away from the Power BI experience and may impact adoption of Power BI.

With the jump in price from Pro to Premium being so large, Paginated Reports are just not an option for us, which is such a shame considering the potential it would have for our customers.

Paginated reports is only available for A4/P1 customers, so you need to pay $5000 per month to get started. Not therefore available for developers with smaller customer bases. Sadly therefore we cannot create an application that can rival professional looking ones as I have to tell my customers to use Snip for their reports. Shame.

My business is too small to warrant a premium subscription but we are still stuck with the need to print to report style docments. Currently as long as the users have pro licenses and access to the dataset they can use the .rdl file to generate the report but this leaves a lot to be desired in terms of user experience. It would be great if we could publish these to the same app workspaces that they are using for their dashboards and reports.

We're a non-profit and paginated reports are critical to our infrastructure. We're moving to the cloud and faced with not having SSRS. PowerBI Paginated Reports were the perfect solution until we saw the cost. This is impossible for us. Time to look for other solutions.

I work for a Non-Profit, but doesn't qualify for your Non-Profit Status with Microsoft, so justifying the pricing for Premium just isn't there considering it cost more than Tableau at that point.
