    Multiple Value - Custom List Filter

    A report filter with the ability to copy a list of data, be it numerical or text, from an excel document and paste it into a filter allowing for the visualization to update.

    This would be similar to a Multiple Values - Custom List filter in a competitors visualization software.

    Real world example: If you have a data set that is made up of 100,000 SKUs and you want to analyze a list of 100 SKUs with different attributes, but the only thing you are interested is this custom list.

    If this is already an Idea I am happy to vote that up and remove this post.

    I work for a large Consumer Packaged Goods company with thousands of Power BI users....we would all regularly use this feature. Please tell me it will be released soon!

    Please Microsoft, this is a very important use case in our company (online sales site) which has several thousand users , especially for filtering on hundreds of SKUs.

    Please take this improvement request as high priority---- The Business and Customers are requiring this functionality from Power BI , not from Third party tools due to security restrictions.

    Still waiting for such an option in the filters.. Just copy multiple values from an excel of other tool and past it...

    I think this is still very much needed. Our organization doesn't want to rely on 3rd party solutions. This is also a privacy and security issue for many organizations.

    I'm relying on the custom visual filter by 'DevScope' called 'Filter by List by DevScope'. I saved a copy of the file when they discontinued it, but luckily they added it back as well... I would rather not rely on 3rd party visuals for something so critical though. This should be a standard option - it would be nice to have in the filter pane or as a standalone visual similar to a slicer.

    Tableau does this. Out of the box. Paste list into a filter should be basic functionality. Custom visual workaround 'Filter by List' by Devscope gets glitchy with Power BI updates. Not a goo alternative. Should be basic out-of-the box functionality. Come on Microsoft, you can do better.
