We need a button to cancel the progress of 'Working on it'.

Sometimes people make errors or typo's and you press by accident the button 'Enter'. Then Power BI starts to do stuff to verify what you've done. But sometimes you pressed the 'Enter' button on such an awkward moment, Power BI takes ages to 'Work on it'. Not like multiple minutes, but over 45 minutes (after that I gave up). Only way to kill it, is pressing Alt F4 (or windows task manager).

Would be 'nice' (vital requirement to prevent data/ time loss due to human error) to have that 'cancel' button there so you can stop the process.

This would be a god tier feature. Could also hit Escape like in excel.

I miss the simplicity of Alt+Break that is available in so many other applications, including SQL Server. Having it available in Power BI would save hundreds of hours over the course of a year. Or a simple Cancel button on the "working on it" box. Please, please, please consider adding some form of this functionality.

Yo, Microsoft Engineers. I have to imagine this wouldn't take long for you to implement and would likely save us users collectively 9,999,999,999,999,999,999+ hours of waiting for PowerBI to work on it.It would be amazing if when PowerBI is "Working on it" we could:1) Click "Cancel/Stop/Pause/etc".2) Fix whatever we broke.3) Click "Go/Resume/Work/Refresh/etc".Please, please please enable this.

Umm...it's called stop, halt, alto, transaction...take your pick. Pretty please make this happen!

Same happening for me on a report. It's actually a fairly complex report which I often get a "Memory Allocation" error with when refreshing my datasets, so need to run it on a VM. But whenever I get the "Working on it" message after making a slight change to a measure, 50% of the time it is spinning indefinitely. I've left it overnight, and it is still spinning in the morning. The only way is to force quit my VM. A cancel button is definitely needed!

RE: Cancel 'Working on it'

After I made some changes to my large report, I simply clicked on the option to Export Data from a visual so that I could compare the data (before and after the changes), but the "Working on it" message just continues with no end in sight. The problem is I didn’t save my changes before clicking on the non-impactful option to Export Data.

Since we can’t cancel the "Working on it" message, I’m forced to either continue waiting an indefinite amount of time, which is not realistic, or I need to try to cause it to error out, maybe by putting my computer to sleep, etc., which I don’t think will work, or I might have to perform a hard shutdown of Power BI via End Task in Windows, but then I might lose my recent changes if Auto Recovery doesn’t work properly, which has happened before. Regardless, this problem will waste a lot of time.

For situations like this, I would much rather cancel the "Working on it" message, so that I could at least save my report, and then try again later if desired, but that option does not exist. Please add that needed functionality!

Thank you for your consideration!
