We used to have a field properties pane and it used to allow us to enter/view the field description and in case of live connection, we could see the definitions stored in SSAS. This was removed some time back and don't remember seeing any documentation on why this was taken out. Can we add this back ?

I believe this functionality used to exist for live connections where you could add a description to a measure that is created locally in the report. Was this removed? I found a community thread about this same issue: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Properties-Pane-disappeared/td-p/727622
It is common to have a model that supports many reports, but should not contain all potential measures for them, and to create measures locally in the reports. Why can you not add a description for these now using the Field Properties pane?
