It would be helpful to have the option to display a Bing road map under the imported shape file.

I am also looking for this, I have a shapemap data for flood areas, municipal areas, etc that I need to overlay onto a base map. otherwise its useless.

This is a necessary feature for agricultural companies. Many of which just select Qlik instead of Power BI because of that basemap functionality. Hope to see this in nearest updates

Yes, I would like to see this feature. I am trying to map Census data at the tract level but it it almost useless without an underlying road map to orient the viewer.

With an option to change the transparency of the shape map, so that you can see the basemap underneath please.
