Has anyone tried "Configure Kerberos constrained delegation for the gateway and data source"
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-gateway-sso-kerberos#configure-an-spn-for-the-gateway-service-account

We really need this feature in the further PowerBI release due to our primary work environment is the CDH Cluster

RE: Support Kerberos authentication for Impala Connector

My organization is using Kerberos as the authentication tool for our Hadoop server. The ability to support Kerberos for the impala Connector is desperately needed. Thank you!

This is really needed - going through ODBC is really slow + unsafe + cannot do directquery.
Please implement this! In our case, we use keytabs for authentication, we can kinit ourselves, but the powerbi driver is not using the right token!

RE: Support Kerberos authentication for Impala Connector

While I was trying the same, I kind of found a work around i.e. to create an ODBC conneciton to Impala with Kerberos and then use the Native Impala Connector.I am not sure the reason why it worked but I was able to use it.

RE: Support Kerberos authentication for Impala Connector

Impala Native connector does not support the Kerberos authentication and alternative option was to use the ODBC connector which have a huge performance issues. Would be really nice to have the Kerberos Authentication supported through the native Impala and Hive connectors to make advantages of the capability and features. Looking forward for the same at the earliest.

Not to pile on here.... but DirectQuery for Impala with Kerberos authentication is a real need for us above other reporting needs. Please add to list.
