RE: oData feed

It's not possible to change the Windows account credentials in the app.powerbi.com portal. However, I can do that in the Desktop versión... When will this available?
Thanks!

RE: oData feed

(Apologies for this being Dynamics CRM-specific) I do currently use oData as the way of connecting to CRM Online for several live customers. I don't use the Dynamics CRM connector exactly for this reason - we don't want to load everything and then filter down. What I'd really like to see is a FetchXML connector as opposed to oData given the significant performance and functional advantages. For CRM Online users, i have added a request for this which is sadly lacking in votes #Hint ;)

RE: oData feed

I'd like to see this as a way of connecting to CRm Online without having to load the built in sales data pack (that I don't want)

RE: oData feed

I agree, this feature would be very useful for connecting to the Dynamics CRM online. We would need to filter the data directly through the request. If not, then we filter the result lines after the request ?

RE: oData feed

oData is supported in terms of idea.
You can create it in PowerBI Designer only at the moment.
Next, DATA REFRESH does not work from PowerBI - this feature will be implemented soon.
Next, you cannot manipulate with this DataSet from PowerBI API - API works with DataSets created from API :)

So, a lot of work needed, MS :) good luck

RE: oData feed

It is supported in Power BI Designer but I can't find a way to use with authentication (Basic)!

RE: oData feed

"Basic" is the 3rd option in the Credentials dialog for OData feed. If you're hitting issues with this option, please use "Send a Frown" in the Designer which will send the issue to our engineers that can help troubleshoot the issue.

RE: oData feed

This is supported in Power Query and the Power BI Designer. You could already connect to these sources, build your reports and upload them / schedule refresh in the Power BI service for them.

Thanks,
M.
