Ability to select/click a row on the table or chart and be able to contextually go to another report , with appropriate filters. This is only useful when we are able to hide the pages in the report and they appear only when something is(row or cell) selected on a table or similar chart.

I'm pleased to say that the September release of Power BI Desktop includes the capability to drill between report pages. More details in the blog post here: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-september-2017-feature-summary/ There are a couple of related ideas that you can vote on if you'd find them useful: Drill into an SSRS report: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/6740219-ssrs-reports-for-drill-down-into-detailed-reports Drill to a transaction details page: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200/suggestions/13662768 Thanks for your support and votes!

RE: Drill to a report page

Agree with Niek, Alaric, and others that this is great, but many do not feel it is complete.

1. Needs to be able to pass parameters, match SSRS functionality.
2. Should at minimum be able to apply filters applied to the target drill page.
3. Should pass all context that has been applied to filter data from slicers or visual filters.

There are 2 ideas open that relate to #2 and #3 I listed above. Please Vote to get more attention:

RE: Drill to a report page

I would not call this completed. Please let me know when the type of drill through functionality supported by SSRS has been implemented in Power BI, such as drill through from one report to another by passing parameters, drill through by clicking on a label, column heading, link, row, table cell, etc.

RE: Drill to a report page

Thanks for the Power BI Team's effort to bring this feature into the September release. But what is also expected is the ability to drill to another report, not only report page.

RE: Drill to a report page

I agree with Niek Verhoef. If all slicers from previous report's page were applied, it would make this even better.

RE: Drill to a report page

Great update, would be even more perfect and usefull if the slicer selections from the report would also be applied to the drill trough report! Maybe create a setting to inherit slicer settings yes/no? With default setting yes (inherit).
Keep up the good work!

RE: Drill to a report page

Thanks for the new update. As another person mentioned, it would be great if it could also include the slicer selections.

RE: Drill to a report page

I've used this new capability but in a different way. I've created a first page as an index of my report and now I can move from the first page to the rest of the report. It Works in the power BI desktop but when I publish it, it doesn't recognize it. It would be great if you could programme the arrow and go wherever you want instead of the last page you've been in.

Thanks for this reléase.
