With the current slicer with a slide bar or a between setting is great except that the current start date can not be set to "today" and the range 2 weeks our as a default on a daily refreshed dashboard. It would be nice to set the start date and range in such a manner so that the data refreshed feature would allow the user to always see two weeks (or set range) ouf from current date.

This seems basic. I was surprised to find it's not an option.

It would also be great if a filter could be made with this slicer. So your report opens with the date of for example today or relative date yesterdayand date adjustments can be made afterwards with this date-slicer

Want to add that the current relative date range slicer is insufficient for users because they need to be able to open the report on a daily basis to a specific date range (current month, quarter, or year), but also be able to specify a custom date range.

The current behavior creates a poor user experience. The end date in the date range slicer can default to the maximum date, but the slicer does not always pin (there is a bug that sometimes prevents this behavior). Setting the slider to visible seems to resolve the issue. The start date cannot be pinned relative to the end date, which is very unintuitive to anyone who uses reports. The client's typical user would like to be able to default to current month's transactions, but I could foresee other relative date ranges.

This would be super helpful!
I currently have to place my in between date slicer on the page for my users to interact with, but then add a relative date filter on the page to get close to the desired behavior.
It would be much better if we could set a relative date default to the slicer.
If you just put a relative date on Filters on the Visual, your date slicer will look like it is giving the desired effect, however there are no selected dates.

The problem with my current solution is that if the user wants to look outside the relative time period, they first need to open the filter pane and clear the Filters on this Page selection.

It's okay, but would be much nicer if I could achieve this with a default setting on the slicer, so that when you click clear on the slicer it returns to the relative date selection and not the entire calendar range.

This needs to be done sooner, the value to making relevant reports is usually underpinned by providing data with a predetermined range that is logical.
