We like to change chart or axis titles dynamically, for example in what currency is the chart displayed based on the country selection from slicer. There are more need where titles should change automatically.

RE: Dynamic Chart Titles and Axis Titles

I read this was supposed to be implemented April 2019. Any update?

RE: Dynamic Chart Titles and Axis Titles

having a dax expression for column, axis and chart titles would be a huge win for our customers. The problem is when using a SWITCH statement to change a measure for a chart or table I really need the column header / chart axis to change too. There are work-arounds using cards but you lose then when going in to focus mode

RE: Dynamic Chart Titles and Axis Titles

Any update on this ?

I want to create a dynamic title which works with drill down/up and not based on the filters applied. For example : By default it show Monthly Trend and then when we drill down to Quarter ( let say ), it will display Quarterly Trend and so on. This can help me to achieve this requirement

Absolutely in favor for this change.
Not only for Charts, also Tables would benefit from dynamic dates.
It would make maintaining exportable tables a lot more pleasant since the title is being used to name the export file.

This is really a must. More even when the user clicks in More Data, as it would be super useful for them to have more context information about the visual. For instance showing the details of a chart of sales for a specific time period it would be great that this information appear in the title.

RE: Dynamic Chart Titles and Axis Titles

Hello,
This would be a very pleasant and usefull improvement. Today, we can create custom titles with measure, but it's a painfull work, too long and the visual result is not really cool as it's not link (no automatic sizing with visual).
We need an integrated tool to create dynamic title, in options of every graph, so we can customized every visual. It should be something like quick mesure with the possibily to add custom text between part of DAX.
Thanks in advance

This is an absolute must - cannot believe it's not possible in current release. I'm even tempted to resort back to building reports in SSRS.

RE: Dynamic Chart Titles and Axis Titles

One of the best things about SSRS is that pretty much EVERYTHING can be set via an expression. This aspect of PBI is really lacking and makes it impossible to produce reports/dashboards that adhere to industry standards in-terms of appropriately labelled visuals.

Using a card based on a measure instead of a title is too much of a hack and falls down if the user zooms in to view the visual full screen. It also can't be used for axis titles.

Please consider this because it is definitely a major issue.

Strongly want this option to be implemented. I know of a workaround with dynamic card, but would be nice if it would be integrated in all visual.

I am in strong agreement with the comment of mike. The calculated measure added to a card workaround have many collateral effects. I wish many formatting features of a visual could be driven by DAX expressions.
