It would be great if Grand Totals on a Matrix or Table would add up correctly to the sum of the rows when you include MEASURES in the visual. Currently the total on a measure consists of the measure function itself, instead of the sum of the rows above. PLEASE give us the option to toggle totals to be a simple aggregate of the rows above also.

Moving this idea to "under review" to mark that discussions are underway. For full transparency, we have started working on DAX calculations at the visual level. That feature will make changes that will serve as building blocks for other features, including but not limited to the one discussed in this idea: providing more flexibility for influencing what is shown on the total: the visual total, the "DAX" total, or another expression altogether.
Hence, the delivery of this Idea will be dependent on the DAX-calculations-on-a-visual feature.

Please please can this be resolved. I cannot think of a circumstance when it would be appropriate for the sum of a row to not equal the sum of a row. This is a bug, and is causing problems. Please can this be fixed.

This is a BUG Power BI Team!!! There is no circumstance that I can think of where I'd want your default SUM total on the row values of a table or matrix to be anything other than the simple SUM of the ROW values. Why is that so hard? Having to try to workaround this with a DAX formula is an embarrassment to Power BI as a mature data analysis tool and embarrassing to me as I have no good answer for my clients.

Please fix this.. This is a big issue. For any insights driven organization, this can cause a lot o issue. We make decision based on our data. This issue will slow down the adoption of Power BI.. Thanks

Please fix this. I am using a matrix visual on a drill through target page and the column total is not correct. However an Excel Pivot table shows correct values

Wait, how is this still an outstanding issue from 2016?
Microsoft, can you please correct how the total is calculated for the Matrix & Tables Visualizations. Please, having accurate numbers is essential for reporting....

Happens in both table and matrix visuals, totals and subtotals have incorrect calculation.

Total Mode
1. No Total
2. Expression Total
3. Sum of rows
Maybe the third option can be a dropdown where we can choose Sum/Avg/Min/Max etc
