Creating a live connection to SSAS MD or Tabular is working just fine. However, it would be very beneficial to have the ability to create new calculated measures (in MDX). Just like we can create our own calculated measures when writing an MDX query for a SSRS dataset.

The measures are stored in your report definition and sent along with the queries to your model. Essential feature. We can't modify our Tabular models to accommodate for every possible data manipulation any user may need when building a report. And even if we could, it makes report building a painful task for end users and data wranglers.

Must have feature. It's possible in SSRS and in Excel (using PivotTable extensions), so PBI Desktop shouldn't be that hard.

Customers have very specific reporting needs and therefore it is essential to be able to create calculated measures in MDX. If we can have this feature in Power BI , it will make us and a lot of potential customers very very very very happy :-)
