It should be good if we can set Drill Mode ON/OFF by DEFAULT instead of clicking manually on the arrow every time on report.

We have improved this by allowing the drill action to take place inside the tooltip. Marking as completed. We will do more updates here but the initial item has been addressed.

i completely agree. The idea to have a simplified work flow. I.E. as few clicks as possible.

I would like to be able to save Drill Down as a persistent on/off property at the visual level. Actually, no, I NEED to be able to do this.

Pretty please.. It's hard to have to explain to people this is a feature not a bug. Especially, when you have people who want to spend a bunch of money on Tableau and will use small things like this to push the maturity of product argument.

Need it. Looks like a bug that we cannot save the current drill mode setting.

Really need this feature. myusers are getting annoyed at having to reset this every time they use it

I agree this is important for user acceptance. We have some high level dashboards with 12 graphs on each page, 5 pages, so the users have to activate the drilldown 60 times every time they open the report to use the interactivity.
