This feature would make a big impact for users with other tools wanting to change. This would rock the hell out of Power BI
Hi everyone. We announced a partnership with ESRI to bring their mapping capabilities into Power BI. Their maps include the ability to build heatmaps! The feature’s in Preview at the moment, I’m leaving this marked as ‘Started’ for now and we’d appreciate your feedback. Try it out and let us know how you find it. We’ll update it to ‘Completed’ when we take the Preview label off the feature.

Updating this idea to planned now that we are actively planning out an expand/collapse feature for row headers in our matrix visual. Expect it to be very similar to what you are used to in Excel. It’s a large work item so it’s still a few months out, but I’ll update you as we get further along.
Thanks everyone for your support and votes! We’re working on enabling commenting for dashboards and reports in the Power BI service soon. Stay tuned.
Hey all – we’re looking into how best to tackle this and other filter-related functionality.
If you have a few moments, please take the following survey to share your thoughts. The survey takes ~10 minutes to complete, and will help ensure that what we’re building meets your needs. We appreciate your feedback!
Hey everyone – just wanted to post an update and say that this work item is still in our roadmap. We are focusing our efforts in enabling other critical features related to filtering such as personal bookmarks in the Power BI service. Thanks again for patience and feedback!
We’re actively working on enabling SSRS (*.rdl) reports directly in the Power BI cloud service with no separate SSRS report server required. We want Power BI to be a one-stop shop for all your dashboards and reports, including Power BI reports, Excel workbooks, and SSRS reports.
It’s a large undertaking that’ll take some time, but as usual, we’ll start with previews to share our progress with you and hear your feedback, and expand the feature set and eliminate limitations over time.
We don’t yet have timeframes to share, but stay tuned!
