Thanks for the feedback! While this isn’t (yet!) on our near term roadmap, please keep voting and giving us feedback on the idea. We definitely see the need and will update the idea when we are closer to adding this feature.
This is very basic functionality from Excel and desperately needed.
Please, Power BI team, stop adding fancy bells and whistles on top of a crumbling foundation. You need to get the basics figured out first.
My organization is filled with heavy Excel users, and it's impossible to get them to take Power BI seriously when it's lacking basic functionality like this.

I find it truly unbelievable that this feature wasn't included from day 1, and even more so that this request has been active for 43 months without resolution. Excel has had multi-column sorting since at least 2003!
A suggestion: For issues that seem as if there should be a very simple fix, you should provide more detailed explanations of the complexity involved and why the change isn't as simple as it appears.
Because not being able to do basic things like multi-column sorting makes Power BI look REALLY bad. I can't describe how flabbergasted my bosses were when I explained this limitation to them, and how low their opinion of Power BI is as a result.
Truly a must have feature, and very strange/frustrating that it isn't already included
The basic drill-down functionality is very nice, but it becomes essentially useless if you have more than a few visuals on a page.
