This is a must. People are moving to Tableau because Power BI no longer offers full screen capability.
Being able to select specific dashboards, and also ability to have Multiple Apps per Dashboard.
Another update on this item – users now have the ability to set up scheduled subscriptions with paginated reports and 6 different formats, along with parameters per subscription to allow further personalization. There is also now the ability to create paginated reports against any Power BI dataset in the service, and we’re planning to add drillthrough from Power BI to Paginated Reports in the short term.
We still have plans to support e-mail attachments for Power BI reports as well in the coming months, and we’ll share more specifics once we get closer to starting that work.
Please see Tableau's print to PDF capability as a baseline. You can add borders, headings and footers. Essentially, people want to be able to print out PDF's for board meetings, which have to be in a specific look and format. The more customisable the better. Today, people have to export data out of PowerBI into Excel OR grab screenshots to reformat a page layout which defeats the purpose.
I think it is worth noting that the community doesn't just want a simple 'export to PDF' solution. PDF's need to be customisable with headings, titles, logos etc. Please learn from Tableau.
Pleaseee.... so many people that do Financials require this feature.
Any updates ???
I do agree that I wish Power BI made it easier to email external users. Hope you get your IT admin to enable RESTFUL API's with Exchange. I believe that's what they need to do.
1. You can already share dashboard content outside your organisation. When you click on 'Share', it will share it with anybody's email address. As you mentioned, the end user must be a PRO user. You do not need to Embed Power BI.
If you cannot share it outside, then your admin has probably disabled the feature.
2. Alerts can already be set up for all customers. This feature was made available I believe in February. You will need to use Microsoft Flow and you can automate it to email your customers when the dashboard has changed. There are many other features. It is simple drag and drop.
3. Scheduled data each hour can already be done depending on your data source. If you have a SQL database, this is almost near real time. Currently, my company has 24 hr, hourly and real time refreshes.
Everything you have mentioned can be done today. However, PRO licenses are required by all.
However, Microsoft needs to have a PRO vs End User pricing scheme. This is far more critical.
The community us asking for Power BI to revisit its licensing model.

Checking w/ the team where this is at.
Thanks for the feedback! Keep voting if you would like to see this feature.
Great idea. It's the only way an organisation can optimise its reporting.
Any datasource available via 'GetData' should be made available via Power BI Desktop by default.
Multiple y-axis for Cartesian charts is on our backlog. I don’t have a timeline to share, but please keep voting. I’ll update the idea once we have more information to share.
For Line Charts PLEASE
It is a shame that Power BI has been promoting its new 'Shape' map. Unfortunately, it's just a map layer.
Power BI needs to allow users to upload Shape Layers that can include any definitions such as landmarks, roads. Basically any vector shape.
Of all the task management apps out there such as asana, swipes and basecamp, Trello is probably the most ideal candidate for Power BI. It makes sense as it uses a similar Tile and Dashboard function making the 2 very similar in functionality and looks.
Have you guys lodged this as a support ticket ? It will get fixed quicker that way.
Great idea. We have the concept of ‘favorites’ in the mobile iOS app, which we could bring into the dashboards with a personal dashboard too.
Hi Power BI team. Just to ensure that this idea is not misunderstood, this is what we require:
"The capability to pin tiles from shared dashboards onto any dashboard we desire (in any workspace) as long as the original dashboard owner allowed us to share the content in the first place. Allowing this feature cross tenancy/organisation would be the ultimate goal"
This is required if PowerBI wants to appeal to CEO's and senior management. Senior managers do not want access to 20 dashboards. They have no time to hunt for information.
They want to access a dashboard with ONLY the tiles they need to make strategic decisions. These tiles will obviously come from dashboards owned by various other departments. Senior managers do not want clutter. They want simplicity, and IMMEDIATE access to their key KPI's.
Power BI has been great appealing to the masses and low level management. Power BI is still only a proof of concept for many companies and has yet to be officially adopted. However, it's now time to give senior management what they want.
This is not about just adding favourites. Dashboard tiles should be able to be repinned onto new Dashboards. Senior Management is not interested to 'favourite' a specific tile. They want ALL their 'favourite' tiles from various shared dashboards pinned onto a new dashboard.
Can Power BI please respond to this ? The last feedback was almost 3 months ago. This has to be one of the most requested fixes in in recent months. Please read the forums. A lot of disgruntled users.
Agree. At the very minimum, please let us disable hover on specific:
2. Text Boxes
Many of us aren't that creative with our designs because the more images you include, the more objects will highlight, which is a horrible visual experience.
Good suggestion! Is anyone else trying to create a weighted/balanced scorecard? Please add your votes!
I forgot to mention. It would be good if Power BI can suggest a way way that people can store the data used for Balance Scorecards. Perhaps there could be a built in template that is connected to OneDrive ? Or perhaps it could be an additional service on Power BI online. Again, just look at COGNOS Metrics to understand how it is done. Thanks.
Yes please. It is essential if you want to meet the requirements of large organisations, especially Government. Currently, the best solution is COGNOS Metrics. I'm sure the Power BI team want to make COGNOS obsolete :)
